Our Rush Process
When: Rush is held during both the fall and spring semesters
How: To receive information regarding specific dates for the upcoming rush season, follow us on social media and/or join our email list.
1. Interest Meetings
Soon after the academic year begins, we host several interest meetings over the course of a week. These sessions provide an introduction to our sorority, including our history, values, community involvement, and the rush process itself. Rushees are required to attend at least one interest meeting.*
2. Rush Week
Rush week consists of several themed, casual events designed to help rushees connect with current sisters. Events typically include snacks and activities such as crafts or games. Rushees are required to attend at least two of the three rush events.*
3. Bids
Bids are extended on the Sunday following the conclusion of Rush Week. While we do hold a vote, our goal is to welcome as many individuals as we can who have demonstrated kindness and a genuine interest in our sisterhood.
4. Interviews
Those who receive a bid will participate in individual meetings with current members. Though we refer to them as “interviews,” these are informal and designed to allow rushees and sisters to get to know one another better. Sisters will share their availability, and rushees are responsible for coordinating meeting times.*
5. Big/Little Pairings
Following the interview process, rushees will be invited to submit their preferences for Big/Little pairings. A “Big” serves as a personal mentor and friend within the sorority, someone you can turn to for guidance, support, or simply to share fun experiences.
6. Initiation
Initiation is held near the end of the semester once all requirements have been fulfilled. During this special ceremony, Big/Little pairings are revealed, and new members are formally inducted by our president. At this time, rushees receive full membership and all the privileges it entails.
*If you are unable to attend the required Interest Meeting, Rush Week events, or interviews, please don’t hesitate to contact us via social media or speak directly with an officer. We are always happy to work with you to find a solution!
